Founded in 2003 by a group of child abuse survivors on a Lifetime TV message board, the first YELL & TELL rally was held in Washington, D.C. in April, 2004.

In April 2005 the YELL & TELL rally was relocated to Northwest Ohio and has remained in Ohio since that time.

YELL & TELL’s mission is to prevent child abuse through education. YELL & TELL received non-profit status in January, 2006 and 501(c)3 status in September, 2006.
